Pisgah National Forest, "the land of waterfalls," is one of the wildest places in the Southeast, and it's a hiker's paradise! There are hundreds of miles of gorgeous singletrack trails in the dark depths of Pisgah that lead to gorgeous views, pristine streams, and breath-taking waterfalls. You have to visit Pisgah!
From Asheville, head south on I-26E. Take the exit for Hwy. 280, and follow that Southwest towards Brevard. Hang a right on Hwy. 276, and that will take you into the heart of Pisgah.
